   5. Discussion and possible vote on Subway at 7335 Good Hope Rd.

Minutes note: Ashraf Noorani has been running this Subway for the last 15 years. Ms. Hill knows Ald. Taylor visited the site, but doesn't know what the final decision was. Mr. Dodds asked about police calls to this location (one due to a homeless individual) and if there are customer satisfaction surveys done. Ms. Noorani said that as part of customer appreciation, they will be doing a free cookie every Tuesday with the purchase of a sandwich. She did meet with Ald. Taylor and they presented their future plan for renovations, which will be completed in a month or so. There is a dine-in option, it is not solely take-out. Renovations will be done only during the night time so they will still be open for customers. They are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ms. Duckworth has visited the location a number of times and it's been a positive experience. They are inspected by Subway every 3 months and the last city inspection was a month ago and they received an "A". Ms. Duckworth moved for renewal. There were no objections.

   6. Discussion and possible vote on Wingstop at 7335 Good Hope Rd.

Minutes note: Steve Link present for this item. He met with Ald.Taylor last week and it was a very positive meeting. He operates all the Wingstops in Milwaukee and they have been at this location 12 years. They have stable leadership at this restaurant and they have seen good growth over the last 4 years. They also received an "A" from the city for food safety and Wingstop corporate inspects every 3 months and they are a "top gun" in Wingstop standards for food safety and customer satisfaction. They have cameras in the building and they have had no incidents in the past 2.5-3 years. They are also updating their dining room and will also update kitchen equipment later this summer or early fall. Ms. Duckworth asked how the staff prevents incidents with the public. Mr. Link said they prevent it by having the proper people staff the restaurant. They have monthly meetings with the staff to talk about guest relations and how to deal with irate or belligerent customers; they have a quality general manager and she runs a good ship. Wait time is 18 minutes as food isn't pre-cooked, with 70% of their business being ordered online. It can sometimes take 30-35 minutes depending on how busy it is. If food is ordered online, it tells you when the food will be ready. They do not fall into the fast food category. Ms. Duckworth moved for renewal. There were no objections.

   7. Discussion and possible vote on Domino's at 7613 Good Hope Rd.

Minutes note: John Theisen present for this business; he has operated Domino's for about 30 hours in the Milwaukee area. They are renewing their extended hours establishment license (to be open either 1 or 2 a.m.). They provide pizzas to various nonprofits in the Milwaukee area and also employ some less-abled individuals through Independence First. Domino's also has a fund that employees can access for short-term financial needs. All employees received the same money during Covid and they offer a ladder for employees to move up the corporate chain. Mr. Theisen began as a driver for Domino's in 1984. They offer discounted pizzas to about 75 schools throughout the city two days a month for staff training. They will make 3 deliveries each day to the same school, since there are 3 lunch shifts. They also do general discounted orders to schools, both public and private. Ms. Duckworth moved for renewal of the extended hours establishment license. There were no objections.

Minutes note: Linda McFerrin commented on trash being picked up on 76th and being put into bags, but there was still trash in the trees and there still is a crazy amount of trash. She is unsure why there is SO much trash. She can call Ald.Taylor's office about this issue.
